Recall # NA  /  Ford Recall#: 23B35                                                        Recall Date: Unknown

PROBLEM:

The wiper system has what is called a "Dry Detection" mode, and the system may enter into it. What this is, is the wipers are restricted by the motor to intermittent speed while it is set in a low or high speed setting (continuous setting). One way a customer can fix this is to toggle the switch to another setting, and go back to previous setting.

SOLUTION:

Ford will provide dealers with what is called a Flash Box, and the Service Department will use it to update the wiper motor software. This is under the Ford Warranty so no money out of your pocket.
